Biophys Present Outstanding Achievement Award at MediWales Innovation Awards 2021

Biophys are delighted to have presented the Outstanding Achievement Award to BiVictriX Therapeutics at the sixteenth annual MediWales Innovation Awards on 2nd December 2021.

The prestigious awards ceremony was held at the Mercure Holland House Hotel in Cardiff and is designed to recognise the achievements of the life science network and representative body for Wales, particularly after a very challenging time for this community. It’s more important than ever that these achievements be celebrated.

● Health and Social Care Research Partnership Award with Industry – Hwyel Dda University Health

● NHS Judges Award – Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, Eye Care

Biophys presented the Outstanding Achievement Award for the third time since the awards began and are proud to deliver the award to worthy winner BiVictriX Therapeutics.

Founded in 2017, and drawing upon frontline clinical experience, BiVictriX is a rapidly emerging biotechnology company, applying a novel approach to develop safer, more effective cancer therapies. BivictriX have developed therapeutics, which are uniquely selective for particular cancer types, to enable higher dosing and more aggressive cancer eradication without causing harmful side-effects.

Dr Michael Graz of Biophys, who has over 25 years of commercial, teaching and research experience in life sciences said of the winner: “BiVictriX’s work in tackling Acute Myeloid Leukaemia personally resonates with me as I have family currently suffering from AML, and I wish them well in bringing their concept to the market as soon as possible.”
